Bridge Inspection Refresher Training

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:

• Continue to perform bridge safety inspection in Nebraska, component or element level condition ratings, functional appraisal, and data collection in a uniform manner consistent with NBIS and NDOT requirements.
• Apply current inspection techniques. Evaluate channel scour as applied to waterway ratings.
• Collect field data with appropriate precision.

Target Audience:

Currently certified bridge inspection team leaders for the purpose of renewing their certification.  In addition, on a space available basis, we would accept new inspectors wanting to acquire training prior to accumulating their inspection experience, and all others interested in learning more about bridge inspection.

First priority will be given to current Nebraska Inspectors that require this course to maintain certification in accordance with the State of Nebraska procedures & requirements.
