Hazardous Material Review (HMR) Course 201
Hazardous Materials Review (HMR) 201 is a continuation of the HMR 101 course, and provides a more in-depth training to meet NDOT pre-qualification and certification requirements to be considered an HRM practitioner (environmental professional) by NDOT.
NOTE: Hazardous Material Review Course 101: The Purpose of Conducting a HMR must be completed before Course 201 can be taken. Course 201 objectives are:

Provide details about the different types of HMRs, how to determine level of review, and provide a more thorough understanding of the role HMRs have in project delivery.

Reinforce the approved HMR guidance, including the qualifications of an environmental professional and utilizing junior staff.
- Deliver expectations for database review and visual reconnaissance documentation.
- Help identify potential existing hazardous material concerns and when applicable facilitate project alternative selection.
